Hi Everyone,
Quitting kratom is a huge step toward reclaiming your health, wellness, mental well-being, and life. The weight of recovery can be intense, and it's easy to question if it's all worth it. I want you to know quitting kratom is worth it, but not always easy. The dark moments we go through are often where the transformation and growth begin.
There’s a term in recovery called the “dark night of the soul” which is used to describe a period in life when we’re forced to face our inner struggles and shadows. It’s a time of self-reflection, but it’s also a path to healing and transformation. The dark night of the soul can be a necessary process breaking down the old version of yourself, allowing a more aligned and authentic version of you to emerge. The only way out is through.
Recovery will push you out of your comfort zone forcing you to face parts of yourself you have long avoided. It’s intense, and it can feel like you're losing touch with yourself and reality. You might be facing issues you’ve never been willing to confront before. Rather than playing victim when you hit rock bottom, embrace the difficult work of recovery and take responsibility for your journey. Putting in the hard work during the recovery process will help you regain control of your life. Remind yourself that you have the power to choose your path forward.
I challenge you to dig deep, explore who you truly are, and understand what you want to achieve in this quitting journey. What you learn during the dark night of the soul can be carried with you for the rest of your life. Emotionally, mentally, and physically, you’ve likely faced some of the toughest times of your life. But, this process will also teach you how to cope with stress and emotions without relying on kratom.
Keep going. You've got this.
