Through trial and error, I learned the hard way of what to avoid while quitting kratom.
Any time I was having withdrawals from kratom, I would have the worst restless legs that would keep me up all night. Because it was making sleep impossible, I would then take over the counter sleep aids. It took me many failed attempts to learn over the counter sleeping medicines such as Benadryl (an antihistamine) and melatonin were known to worsen restless leg symptoms. Other substances that may worsen RLS include alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine which are therefore best avoided.
My advice to you, I would try to be free from any stimulant, drug and alcohol during the withdrawal period. Alcohol and caffeine worsen a lot of the kratom withdrawal symptoms. I still had some caffeine but traded my morning coffee for half decaf and only had my afternoon granita if I was really needing a pick me up and I made it kids size.
I would also avoid other kratom users who are in denial of their dependency or the negative effects of the kratom plant. They may try to invalidate your experience as they don’t want to admit their kratom use is a problem and/or ready to quit themselves.

Yikes, I’m addicted to zyn pouches trying to quit K, I take stimulants , modafinil and preworkout and melatonin at night. So probably best to stop EVERYTHING? How do the stimulants make it worse?
